I have worked as a language teacher and as a project manager in a translation agency before taking the plunge as a freelance translator. To this day the abilities that I've gained from working in these areas still benefit me every day. Managing deadlines comes natural to me, as is having an eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture. Above all though, I enjoy working with languages and building a bridge between people, which it basically is all about. Born in the Netherlands, but enjoying life in the UK since 2017, so very familiar with both cultures.
