I graduated from Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki, Finland) and I have bachelor's degree in community interpreting. I also studied translation during my education. I worked as an office worker at Turkish Embassy in Helsinki and then was transferred to the Counsellor Office for Cultural Affairs and Promotion, which is a part of the Embassy. During my time in the Embassy I also worked as an translator. I translated the news paper articles in the morning and after that government documents, recipes and contracts. I worked there total for 4 months. Right after that I started at an interpreting and translation company named A-Tulkkaus Oy, and I have been working there for 5 years now. I am also working as an interpreter but I mainly do translation. I get most of the translation from social services and child protection services and also health care. |
