I have been working as an interpreter for 9 years. During my career I have covered a wide range of topics, ranging from haircare and aesthetic surgery to metallurgy and protection of human rights, working at conferences in both the simultaneous and the consecutive modes as well as providing liaison interpreting in business and technical areas (e.g. GMP inspections for pharmaceutical companies). I have worked in-house for 4 years in a company providing trainings to legal professionals, hence, I have a solid legal background.

Working through an interpreter can be challenging as it is difficult to listen to monotonous speech. I have 10 years of theatre acting experience, which has built my stage confidence and a
well-trained voice, which differentiates my interpreting along with my
articulated and scholarly linguistic competence gained through the academic
career in linguistics.

I have a PhD in linguistics form the University of Milan, where I also teach English. The university environment has sharpened my research skills,
ensuring thus quick acquisition and processing of new vocabulary and data.
Tutorship of different BA theses, including on technical and highly
specialised topics, contributes to enriching my active technical vocabulary.
