I am a multiskilled, reliable and
punctual freelance translator committed to act in light of the highest
integrity, professional ethics, confidentiality and transparency standards in
every work performed and with more than 25 years of translation experience in
several business and technical areas. Here are some of the areas I have
been translating:

and personal resumés and all corporate documentation;

I worked for several years at ABB - Asea
Brown Boveri, at the top management and during my stay at ABB, I was always in
contact with ABB’s companies abroad having to make contacts in English and
French. It was really a good experience to work there, as this is a very
well-organized company and is a pioneering technology leader with a
comprehensive offering for digital industries, electrification, industrial
automation, robotics and so on. ABB had a very good code of conduct and due to
its internationality it was a challenge to work there.

When I decided to leave ABB, I came to the
outside business world and formed my own company, which the core business was
the translation activity. Presently I am closing down the company as my
partner, due to health reasons, stopped working.

Apart from founding a company, I decided
to get a Pedagogical Skills Certificate (CCP), which allows me to have the
activity of professional trainer, and I had taught for several years
professional training courses transmitting the knowledge I had acquired during
my international experience. As a professional trainer I made up my mind to
give a contribute to the Portuguese training world as there were scarce offer
of professional books in the market. So far, I wrote 2 professional training
books: (1) Excellence in Customer Service (Excelência no Atendimento) and (2)
Business Correspondence (Correspondência Comercial), which were published under
the name of Isabel Moreira and Isabel de Morais Sarmento Moreira.

I also have been invited to write short
articles for a management magazine and participated in seminars, as a speaker,
within the scope of my experience. To conclude, and after all my professional
curricular activity, I decided to go on working and so, apart my clients, I am
trying through Proz.com to join in challenging projects.

citizen I have to comply with the EU General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) which applies to personal and company data,
meaning any information relating to an identifiable entity it is not disclosed.
So, I don’t reveal who are my clients and the documents I have translated.
