Bio
Hello,
I'm a Chinese Subtitler with more than 5 years of audio-visual translation experience.
Before I became a subtitler, I was an audio engineer and sound designer. I studied and worked in the film post-production industry. (In 2007-2008, I studied audio engineering in Australia.)
My major back in the university at my hometown was Information Technology, but I am also a big film and music fan, so I have a technical(logical) mind and an artistic mind at the same time.
I am also very interested in Japanese pop culture - Anime, music, film and TV drama. My value system was basically built on that.
In a sense, you can call me a geek or otaku, because I'm so crazy about computer software and hardware. I developed my own method to do time coding/spotting of subtitles, which can be fast and accurate at the same time. I can do time coding in three languages: Chinese, English, and Japanese.
I am also an independent thinker, I dig into all kinds of thoughts and value systems. I kept writing diaries and blogs for more than 20 years.
