I hold a PhD in French Literature from new York University and my dissertation focused on French travel writing about Russia in the 19th century. My BA from Northwestern University is in Art History, International Relations and French. Having grown up in Russia and the United States and worked and studied for several years in France, I am fluent in all three languages. Extensive pedagogical experience and PhD research shaped my meticulous approach to language and attention to detail and nuance. Having lived in three countries and worked across languages and cultures, I possess a high level of cultural sensitivity. I have translated documents in the arts and culture sector and edited translations of financial documents. My dissertation work involved texts in French, English, and Russian, as well as translations of literary excerpts. |
