After working as an English/Arabic interpreter and translator with a charity that supports refugees, I embarked on a new career that uses my language and cultural skills to help make information accessible to people nationwide and worldwide. 

My work includes the following specialisms and I'm willing to develop my skills in new domains:

- Medical (NHS)

- Education (communication, booklets and online courses)

- Business planning and strategy

- Welfare, benefits and housing

- Case studies

- Community research

- Other (information sheets, CVs, stories, etc.)

I feel humbled and rewarded to be working in this field. By using my language skills and cultural knowledge I help to bridge cultures, break barriers and share information, and help the voices of minority groups be heard. Also I support people who are vulnerable or become vulnerable in specific situations.

I have experience working in face-to-face, by telephone and video.

Moreover, I volunteer with several organisation as a video subtitler in a variety of topics such as health and social care, culture, IT and web development. 

بعد العمل كمترجمة للُغتَي الانجليزيّة و العربيّة مع جمعيّة خيريّة محلّية تُعنى بشؤون اللاجئين من المنطقة العربيّة، بدأَت مسيرتي المهنيّة في هذا المجال. أستخدم مهاراتي اللغويّة و الثقافيّة لمساعدة الناس لكي يحصلوا على المعلومات على نطاق البلاد و العالم. 

يتضمّن عملي الاختصاصات التالية، و أنا مستعدّة لتطوير مهاراتي في إختصاصات جديدة:

• الرعاية الصّحية (خدمة الصحّة الوطنية البريطانية)

• التعليم (تواصل، كتيّبات و دورات على الانترنت)

• تخطيط و استراتيجية الأعمال

• المساعدات الاجتماعيّة، المعونات و السكن

• دراسات حالات

• الأبحاث المجتمعيّة

• غيرها (بيانات، سير ذاتيّة، قصص، الخ…)

إنّ العمل في هذا المجال يُعطيني شعور بالتواضع و الانجاز. إنّني أساعد على تواصل الثقافات، كسر الحواجز و تبادل المعلومات، و مساعدة أصوات الأقليّات للوصول إلى مُستمعيها. أدعم الأشخاص الضعفاء و الّذين يصبحون ضعفات في حالات معيّنة أيضاً.   

لديّ خبرة بالترجمة وجهاً لوجه، عبر الهاتف و الفيديو.

بالاضافة إلى ذلك، أقوم بالتطوّع مع عدّة منظّمات كمترجمة فيديوهات في مواضيع مختلفة مثلا الرعاية الصحية و الاجتماعية، الثقافة، المعلوماتيّة و التكنولوجيا، و تطوير المواقع.
