Bio

I have been studying and working with languages since childhood. In my professional life, teaching languages has been just as important as translating, going hand in hand.

Since 2015 I have been teaching German, French, Norwegian and English to adults in my own private school in Berlin

I have worked several years translating patents from French, German and English into Norwegian, learning a lot about engineering and sciences - including vocabulary, reading, understanding and writing technical descriptions.

During of a couple of years I used to work as a writer, quite creatively producing huge quantities of  texts for online marketing, especially within retail and tourism.

Also, I have worked as a German and French teacher in Norwegian high schools.

I have a masters´s degree in French, more specifically in comparative linguistics. My master thesis, written in French obviously, is a comparison between the four languages French, German, English and Norwegian.

During my university studies in Oslo I studied and passed exams in several languages as part of my degree, and as extras - enough to fill a second bachelor degree in languages. French and German were my main languages. I studied Latin and Italian as well, with great motivation and reached a good level. I attended courses and passed the according exams in Spanish and Dutch. Reading and understanding, thus translating from these languages, I can do. The same goes for my neighbor languages Danish and Swedish - almost like reading Norwegian. I used to work at the Swedish school in Berlin, over a period of about 5 years, which also contributed to my Swedish skills.
