I do not have a university-degree in translation, but I have a Masters degree in Norwegian language and literature and a Bachelor's degree in English. When I started working as a bank employee at Nordea Bank in Norway in 1999, I quickly became involved in translation work and proofreading on bank related material, for example application forms, routines, legal documents and commercial texts. This went on for my whole employment period. In 2017 I did some translations for Mercy Ships Norway's website, and in June 2019 I started working as a freelance translator for Nortekst. My work at Nortekst has given me experience in both translations from English to Norwegian, but also from Danish to Norwegian. |
