After graduating from Babes-Bolyai University's Faculty of Letters with a BA in Japanese and English Philology, I pursued an MA in Multicultural Studies at Nagoya University. Presently, I am a PhD candidate in Socio-Cultural Change Studies. My graduate school experience has allowed me to practice academic writing in multiple languages, as well as to translate and interpret for academics, especially in Japanese-English. As an embassy-recommended MEXT scholar, I found it my duty to provide a linguistic bridge between Japanese, English, and Romanian speakers. I have collaborated with publishing houses, local initiatives, and NPOs. More than simply providing translation services, I found it important to work for causes that I thought had value, such as quality literature, local cultures and services, and the promotion of human rights.
