Source text - Portuguese Tudo começou em 1982 quando a família Silva Santos, imigrantes da Paraíba, mudou-se para o Pará em busca de novas oportunidades. Um vida digna por meio do cmércio do fruto do açaizeiro. Naquela época a família passou a comprar o fruto do estado do Maranhão, e vendê-lo no mercado do Ver-o-Peso em Belém.
Gradualmente os Silva Santos foram expandindo o comércio em outras regiões próximas ao Pará. Adquiriram cada vez mais conhecimento em relação à qualidade e logística de fornecimento do AÇAÍ. Posteriormente, a família passou a atuar em pequenas processadoras de polpa de açaí até a instalação do primeiro parque industrial, em 2005.
Toda esta experiência tem sido passada de geração em geração, o que faz com que a forma de se processar da Petruz seja algo diferente e único associado a uma incomparável relação “qualidade-preço”. Atualmente a empresa é gerenciada pela segunda e terceira gerações da família e já soma mais de 30 anos de conhecimento desde maravilhoso fruto amazônico. Hoje, a Petruz já comercializa para mais de 30 países e está presente, fisicamente, em três empresas fora do Brasil. Cresce e partilha Sabor, Energia, Saúde e Educação globalmente e perpetua gerações.
Translation - English It all began in 1982 when the Silva Santos family, immigrants from the Brazilian state of Paraiba, moved to Para in search of new opportunities and a decent life through the trade of the acai fruit. At that time, the family started to buy the fruit from the state of Maranhao, and sold it at the Ver-o-Peso market in the capital city of Belem.
Gradually, the Silva Santos expanded their business to other regions near Pará as they gained more and more knowledge regarding the quality and supply logistics of ACAI. Subsequently, the family started to work in small acai pulp processors until the installation of their first industrial park in 2005.
All this experience has been passed on from generation to generation, which makes Petruz's way of processing something different and unique associated with an incomparable relation of quality/price ratio. Currently, the company is managed by the second and third generations of the family, and has more than 30 years of knowledge about this wonderful Amazonian fruit. Today, Petruz has marketed to over 30 countries and is physically present in three companies abroad, growing and sharing Flavor, Energy, Health and Education globally as it perpetuates generations.
