This document is a user manual for ECUProg. ECUProg is a solution that helps Automotive OEMs to manage the Engine/Vehicle variants at their production lines. At Bosch ECU factory, the software code and the dataset will be programmed into the ECU. However, it is possible for the customer to re-program a new dataset / code or select from a set of programmed dataset. The below picture explains typical EOL setup, the activities carried out at EOL related to ECU Programming and the role of ECUProg to provide a solution for such ECU Programming requirements at EOL. ECUProg is developed based on the Microsoft .net technology and by default supports MySQL database. It also supports Oracle Database . ECUProg can work both as a stand alone application or as a network application. ECUProg is developed as a Client Server solution i.e. the database server, Administrator and the Operator work stations can be at different geographical locations and connected over LAN. A typical setup of ECUProg at an EOL (with network support) is shown in the below picture:
