French to English: Carte à débit différé : fonctions, avantages et inconvénients General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Finance (general)
Translation - English Deferred debit card: functions, advantages and disadvantages
With this type of card, purchases are debited only once a month.
The account is not debited immediately while paying, but at a pre-defined date. This date can be set in agreement with the bank so that it applies only after salary is paid, for instance.
Due to the ease it provides in transacting, the deferred debit card functions like a credit card. It allows people to spend money regardless of the account balance, while taking advantage of a cash advance.
