I have been studying languages for a lifetime and I have always been attracted by how native people speak. So, since I am passionate with cinema, videogames and reading, I leverage these entertaining means to improve pronunciation, syntax, sentence construction, etc.
I have never considered my language skills constant improvement as study, but rather a strong desire to expand my knowledge.
Other skills I developed
During my ongoing career in dialogue writing for dubbing I learned how to translate the original intent of the script author by respecting the synchronization constraints and labial-matching challenges.
My long-time contribution for a specialized movie magazine in my native language (Italian) gave me an excellent writing and natural-sounding skill.
During my ten years customer specialist experience in an enterprise environment, I had the chance to be part of a business network based on work referrals: here I learned the real value of business relationships and how to speak effectively in front of other professionals.
How all this impacts my work
I am able to delve into the source text, understand it thoroughly and convey it into the target language.
I apply everything I learned through dialogue writing to localization tout court, in order to provide a perfectly localized text.
I always make sure my writing is natural-sounding and effective.
Every business relationship means the world to me, so I value every single task.
