Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I fell in love with English at a very early age. I started taking classes at six and haven't stopped learning since then. In 1987, I graduated as a Literary, Technical, and Scientific English-Spanish Translator from one of the most prestigious English Training schools in my country (Lenguas Vivas). A year later, I moved to the U.S., where I went for a Master's degree at Purdue U. I was also a Spanish Teaching Assistant there for five years. After that, I went on to teach at a boarding school in NJ for four years. I spent my last year in the U.S. working at a prep school in Baltimore.I have also worked as a freelance translator since my graduation. I've worked on a wide variety of texts: business, religion, academic papers, and general topics. After my return to Argentina, I got a Journalism degree at TEA, Buenos Aires. In the last ten years, I've been working in different activities related to English and Spanish, such as translating, writing content for websites, writing fiction (some of my short stories have been included in anthologies), teaching Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language).I'm passionate about working with these two languages and look forward to learning more, contributing what I know, and finding steady working relationships on this site. |
