Fabia’s life is marked by languages, travel, and learning to learn. After living, studying, teaching, translating, and working in different countries throughout her life, she is now a recognized multi-lingual online language tutor, translator, and linguist in English, Spanish, French, and Italian, with additional studies in German, Russian, Mapudungun, Japanese, and Chinese. Degrees: B.A. from the University of California - Berkeley, in Symbolic Systems, and an Ed.M. from Harvard University, in Interactive Technology. Additionally, she worked for Stanford University for 15 years, running the Bing Overseas Studies Program in Latin America. At present, Fabia specializes in phonetics, targeted enunciation coaching, functional grammar for effective communication, and accurate code-switching. She has online students in many time zones and currently lives in Idaho Falls, Idaho (U.S. Mountain Time), near Yellowstone National Park, with her husband John Patrick Rivera, an established bamboo rod builder and certified fly casting instructor, with whom she loves to go fly fishing around the world.
