20+ years translating Italian to English, editing, tutoring at university level, and I've also organized and served as on-site guide for group tours to Italy; extensive knowledge of Italian contemporary life, media, as well as history, politics, cinema/lit/art/politics. Most of my translation work focused on medical records, including handwritten physician notes, for the government/military, with a security clearance, primarily in Italian (fluent) and some in Spanish (conversant). I've taught Spanish to elementary age children in an after school program and I'm active in Latino activities and church in my neighborhood. I've also taught English to European clients online, designing lessons and homework. My main interests are Italian current events, media, literature, music, technology and continuing to learn and add new language skill and techniques to provide my clients with accurate, detailed, excellent service.
