L’expédition Nomade des mers est aujourd’hui, samedi 25 juin 2022, de retour à Concarneau. Six ans après son départ, le catamaran-laboratoire conduit par Corentin de Chatelperron, co-fondateur du Low-tech Lab, a rejoint son port d’attache avec derrière lui 25 escales et 53 « low-technologies » documentées.
En effet, parti le 26 février 2016, le Nomade des mers s’est donné comme mission d’identifier, d’expérimenter et de transmettre ces « low-tech », objets qui intègrent la technologie selon trois grands principes : être utile, accessible et durable. Tous les partages d’expériences relatifs aux low-tech ont abouti à faire évoluer l’autonomie à bord du bateau d’une part et d’autre part à faire émerger une myriade d’initiatives individuelles ou collectives, dans des contextes géographiques variés.
Aujourd’hui, au terme de six années d’expédition, il apparaissait indispensable d’associer au retour du bateau, les projets qui ont germé à partir et autour du Low-tech Lab. Pour ce faire, l’association organise le Festival low-tech à Concarneau du samedi 25 juin au dimanche 3 juillet. Basé sur un programme de neuf jours, le festival est au confluent de nombreuses années de collectage et d’engagements menés à terre et en mer. Implanter un festival low-tech de 1600 m2 à Concarneau, c’est rendre concret le mode de vie low-tech.
Translation - English THE NOMADE DES MERS EXPEDITION RETURNS TO CONCARNEAU
The Nomade des Mers expedition returns to Concarneau today, the 25 June 2022. Six years after its departure, the catamaran-laboratory captained by Corentin de Chatelperron, co-founder of Low-tech Lab, has reached its home port after 25 stopovers and 53 "low-technologies" documented.
Indeed, on 26 February 2016, the Nomad des Mers set out to identify, experiment and transmit these "low-tech" objects that integrate technology according to three main principles: to be useful, accessible and sustainable. All the sharing of experiences related to low-tech has led to the evolution of autonomy on board the boat, on the one hand, and on the other hand brought out a myriad of individual or collective initiatives in varied geographical contexts.
Today, after six years of expedition, it seems essential to associate the projects that arose from and around Low-tech Lab with the return of the boat. To do this, the association organises the "Festival Low-tech" in Concarneau from Saturday, 25 June to Sunday, 3 July. Held over nine days, the festival is the coming together of many years of data collection and ventures carried out on land and at sea. To implement a low-tech festival of 1600m2 in Concarneau, is to make the low-tech lifestyle resolute.
