I am Gabriela and I
am an English<>Spanish Translator.

I
was a teacher for more than seven years, working for private institutes and
schools, in-company, on-line and on-site. I taught English and Spanish as a second language and also preparing
my students for their international exams.

The satisfaction of
seeing my students attain their academic achievements was immense. I saw them
improving their language skills (and passing their exams) but also gaining the
confidence they needed to start and hold a professional conversation or when travelling
abroad.

But teaching was not
everything.

Throughout all those
years I was also studying to become a translator.

I started working as
a freelancer in 2016, mainly in technical (user manuals, reports, newsletters;
medicine, machinery, car industry, gas and oil) and literary translations
(abstracts, narrative, essays) but also in marketing and advertising,
copywriting and copyediting, proofreading and MT editing.

Beyond working for
communication, advertising and content companies I have also worked on videos,
subtitling, scripts and transcription.
