Bio
With well over 30 years of experience in business and diplomatic translation, I embarked on freelance work post-retirement, serving as a translator for various international institutions and NGOs. I possess expertise in general translation, international trade, sustainable development, public procurement, social responsibility in companies, transcription, subtitling, proofreading and editing.
Throughout my career, I have made significant contributions to the translation of numerous official and private projects. My approach
to translation has always been to ensure effective communication
for accurate and precise translations, to deliver translation projects within agreed deadlines, and to produce high quality, error-free, and accurate translations that are culturally appropriate Overall, I never compromise on accuracy or deadlines to maintain a high professional standard and earn the trust of clients.
I commenced my career in 1983 as a bilingual English French translator within the Foreign Service of my home country. In 1987, I earned a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salford in Great Britain. From 1988 to 2000, I served first as Head of the English Division and subsequently as Head of the National Interpretation and Translation Service. Following two years of studying Chinese in the People's Republic of China, I was appointed as a translator-interpreter in charge of trade at a diplomatic mission of my home country. Concluding my duty tour, I held the position of Deputy Director at the National Directorate of Interpretation and Translation until my retirement.
Drawing on my extensive experience and a deep passion for translation, I am confident in my ability to assist anyone requiring my services to achieve their objectives.
