Seaman onboard LNG Tanker for years , sailing around the world and go to almost every port in Asia.
Experience in vessel engine room as a Oiler. Familiar with Maritime Law. A strong minded person who have to leave family 6 month per trip. Experience in actual situation at sea. 
The sea is not what you see in the movie. 
Background study is Diploma in Mechatronic engineering. Once work as Instrument Technician at Chemical plant.
