Bio
More than 50 years' experience in translation, editing and proofreading in various subjectfields.  I translate from Dutch, Flemish and German (also Swiss German and Austrian German) to Englis and Afrikaans.  

After working in several positions where I described procedures and processes ranging from steel production to roadmaking and seismological processes, I joined the South African Defence Force as a translator (Permanent Force) and rose to the position of Officer Commanding the South African Army Language Bureau and thereafter held the post of Staff Officer 1, Army Language. 

 I am currently workingas a freelance translator.
