I was exposed to other languages from an early age, specifically Turkish (lapsed) and French (active), and acquired the taste for them from there. I have provided translation and interpreting services in a wide variety of fields over 40 years, some highlights being working in the San Sebastian International Film Festival with major directors and actors for 23 years and in preliminary negotiations for solving the political crisis in the Basque Country (early 2000s). I am also a partner in a translation/interpreting company in northern Spain but am semi-retired at the moment.
