Bio
I am a professionally
trained English–Spanish translator with a strong academic background and 30
years of professional experience. I have a proven track record of working on a wide
range of texts, a wide range of subjects, from highly technical fields to
philosophy. I have worked for companies, publishers, agencies, the Mexican
government, and international organizations, particularly the Inter-American
Development Bank and the Organization of American States.
A significant part of
my current work involves revising and proofreading AI-translated texts.
I always ensure that
the final product is accurate, preserves the original formatting, and is
appropriately tailored to the target audience. I also pay close attention to
the complexity of translated texts, which must not only be precise and faithful
to the original but also clear and accessible to the intended reader.
As a native speaker of
Mexican Spanish, I specialize in Spanish for a Latin American audience.
Whenever possible, I use vocabulary, expressions, and linguistic structures
that are broadly understood throughout Latin America rather than being specific
to any one country.
