El model, basat en competències, dimensions i graus de desenvolupament i; la metodologia, basada en rúbriques, resulten útils, coherents i flexibles per poder ser aplicats a titulacions universitàries de diferent abast. Així, el model i la metodologia definits poden aplicar-se tant a programes de curta durada (especialitzacions) com a programes més extensos (postgraus, màsters o graus). Per la seva arquitectura metodològica, és un model que no pot ser aplicat per un professor en solitari o per una part del conjunt de professorat d’un programa. Atès que parteix del disseny global d’una titulació, i s’aplica a la totalitat de les seves assignatures, són imprescindibles el compromís, implicació i participació de tot el professorat de les assignatures del programa on s’implementa.
Translation - English The GRAF project is an improvement in competency design, as it provides a model, methodology and tool set for competency assessment. The model, based on competencies, dimensions and development, and the methodology, based on rubrics, are useful, coherent and flexible for application to a wide range of university degree programmes. Thus, the defined model and methodology can be applied to both short programmes (specializations) and longer programmes (undergraduate, master’s and post-graduate degrees). The methodological architecture means the model cannot be applied by just one teacher or part of the teaching staff from the programme. As it is based on global degree programme design, applied to all subjects, it requires commitment, involvement and participation from all subject teachers. Ensuring such collective alignment requires specific commitment in terms of institutional strategy to boost its application.

Over 20 years' experience as a translator
Since my first tentative steps in the world of translation, I have become a full-time, adaptable and highly regarded translator, while my work has gradually shifted from general texts to specialising in medical and academic translations, although still maintaining a solid base of loyal business clients.
At the same time, I have kept abreast of changes in the sector, especially with regard to technology, and am comfortable with the main CAT tools and processes currently in use.
My chief areas of specialisation are:
Medical: including pharmaceutical and medical reports, articles for journals and conference reports, especially in the fields of cancer, blood disorders, cardiology, disease prevention and drug compounding.
Since starting out in the field some 20 years ago, I have learned much, not only in theoretical and technical terms but also in the resources available to medical translators. Thus, all translations are meticulously researched and documented.
Academic articles: medicine, history, politics and social sciences.
I have worked extensively with government bodies, universities and university teachers in translating academic articles in a broad range of fields publication in journals and online.
