Sergio Espana is a translator, lecturer and researcher in Spain. He has a 20-year career as a professional translator from French to Spanish. He has extensive translation experience for publishing houses (he has translated more than 100 comics) and museums. He worked for 2014-2018 as the FR-SP translator for the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the most important museum of modern and contemporary art in Europe.
Sergio is a lecturer at the Department of Translation at UPO, where he is currently (2023) finishing his PhD in Translation and Museums. In 2023, he is a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher to pursue PreDoctoral research at Rutgers. He holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada and a MA in Arts and Museums from the Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) of Seville, Spain.
