Bio
Background
With a previous 16 years experience in the clothing and textile industry, I trained for translation at the Colegio de Mexico's Translators Seminar (Mexico City) and began translating in 1977.
Experience
For the following 25 year I worked at the medical journal publishing industry. Besides translation I went through all departments: editing, proof reading, writing, even helping sales in special projects for the pharmaceutical industry.
After retiring from publishing, I have concentrated on translation for the pharmaceutical industry, specially in the Regulatory Affairs field and other fields mentioned in my profile.
Religion has been another field where I feel confortable (Sermons and training materials for evangelical churches).
Born in Colombia, I have lived in Mexico for half my live, have traveled through all of Latin America and try to keep abreast of the lively Spanish spoken in the region.
Being cooking my lifelong hobby I have been involved in several projects where the main challenge has been to present copy understandable to cooks in a region where there can be dozens of local names for the same ingredient.
