Source text - Spanish Artículo 866: Se impondrá prisión de TRES(3) a DOCE (12) años en cualquiera de los supuestos previstos en los artículos 863 y 864 cuando se tratare de estupefacientes en cualquier etapa de su elaboración. Estas penas serán aumentadas en un tercio (1/3) del máximo y en la mitad (1/2) del mínimo cuando concurriere alguna de las circunstancias previstas en los incisos a), b), c), d) y e) del artículo 865, o cuando se tratare de estupefacientes elaborados o semi elaborados, que por su cantidad estuviesen inequívocamente destinados a ser comercializados dentro o fuera del territorio nacional. Translation - English Section 866 1st paragraph of the Customs Code: “In any of the cases set forth in sections 863 and 864, where the relevant goods are illegal drugs whatever their stage of manufacturing is, the applicable penalty shall be three to twelve years imprisonment”. Section 866 2nd paragraph of the Customs Code: Penalties shall be increased in one third of the maximum one and half the minimum penalty under any of the circumstances established in subsections a, b, c, d, and e of Section 865, or where goods are manufactured or semi-manufactured illegal drugs, whose quantity undoubtedly indicates that they are to be traded within or outside the national territory.
