وما دافع ذاك الجبين الذي يقطر عرقًا؟

يعبر المارة كل يوم أمام عيني عبدالرحمن ..
بمختلف طبقاتهم .. يملأون الحاضر.. ينشدون نهضة المستقبل
تتساءل ذاته عن موقعها في خارطة الوطن ..
ساعات طوال ..
تندب النفس حظها ..
يجثو اليأس على صدرها وتتساءل ..
ثم ماذا؟

عمر يجوب الأرض ..
يقرأ وجوه الركاب .. يصمت حتى يتكلموا .. يتكلم إن أرادو
يتساءل .. ثم ماذا؟

حنان .. تستقبل آلاف الحالات .. بحمولاتها العصبية ..مشدودة الأعصاب ..
ترمم نفسها ألا تنحني" .. وأحياناً تميل لكفة "ثم ماذا" ؟

أحمد .. مشوار الألف خطوة بدأ معه .. جيل يتلوه جيل مر .. وهو ثابت لا يتحرك
يتساءل أيها العابرون أنا هنا في ذات المكان وذات الدور .. أصبحت سلماً للأجيال لا سلماَ للذات ..
ثم ماذا؟

لهؤلاء ولك ولكل الجنود المجهولين في يومنا الوطني نكرمهم ونشد على أزرهم قائلين:
