DipTransIoLET, Specializations: technology and law (2009)
Ph.D. in German Studies, University of Michigan (2004)
M.A. German and English Studies, Humboldt University Berlin (1998)
After graduating from the Humboldt University in Berlin, I was accepted by the highly competitive PhD program in German Studies at the University of Michigan. I lived in Michigan for 8 years, teaching German language and literature.
I've been living in the UK since 2006, completing my DipTrans exam with the Institute of Linguists. My general paper was awarded Distinction and I received a Merit for my technology paper.
My specializations are medical and pharmaceutical translations and I have been mainly translating clinical trials, summaries of product characteristics and medial marketing material for the past 15 years.
This doesn't mean that my other interests (education, tourism, social sciences) get neglected and I frequently work with texts in these areas.
