I am a full-time Greek to English and English to Greek NAATI
Accredited and Certified Translator, permanently residing in Sydney, Australia.
I am a native Greek speaker with tertiary education in both Greece
and Australia.
I completed a Bachelor of Science equivalent degree in
Physics from the University of Patras, Greece.
I then obtained a Master of Science degree in Physics from
the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia, where I held a tutorship position for
several years while doing postgraduate research in Astrophysics, frequently
observing at the Parkes Radio Telescope.
More recently, I completed a Diploma of Language Studies and
a Master of Arts by Research at the University of Sydney's Department of Modern
Greek and Byzantine Studies, where I have also been teaching Translation, and
International and Global Studies.
Over the last several years, I have held a variety of academic
positions teaching Advanced Greek and Translation at the University of NSW and
Macquarie University.
I obtained my Professional (Level 3) NAATI Accreditation as
a Greek to English and English to Greek Translator back in 1997, and recently
transitioned to the new Certification system.
I specialise in English to Greek and Greek to English Translation,
Checking, Proofreading, and Greek Voice-Overs. I work freelance with private
clients and as a panel translator for leading translation agencies and Commonwealth
and State Government departments.
