I teach Spanish at the University of
the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. At the university, I am also the
coordinator of the UWI Translation Bureau as well as a translator. In addition,
I am a freelance translator working for myself.
I have been translating for more
than 25 years and my watchwords are “keep the clients happy”. I do this by
ensure timely translations done in a professional manner. I do not translate
rush jobs as a rule because I believe that each translation job needs extensive
research.
I hold an Honours degree in Spanish
and Linguistics as well as a Master in International Administrative Studies. I
have also done several courses and training in translation. I specialize in
Business translations. However, I have a strong love for dialect translation,
due to the fact that several dialects of English are spoken in the Caribbean. More detailed information can be seen in my CV.
