German to English: Effizienzsteigerungen Detailed field: Computers: Software
Source text - German Wir haben alle die Effizienzsteigerungen gesehen, welche die Anwendung von Ganzseitenscannern den Bedienern (operators) weltweit gebracht hat; und wir alle folgen dem Wunsch von Lotterieunternehmen, die Effizienz der „Point-of-Sales“ (Annahmestellen) zu rationalisieren.
Translation - English We have seen the increase in efficiency by the use of whole page scanners afforded to the operators worldwide; and we are pursuing the desire of lottery enterprises to rationalize (rationalise = uk-eng) the efficiency of the point-of-sales (acceptance locations).
Translation - English In the cold area the following components are stored: a scroll compressor, a liquefier, a liquefier fan, a liquid dryer, a collector, a sight glass, a by-pass conduit, an HP/LP pressure meter, a pressure transducer and other refrigeration components (e.g., valves, non-return valve). Bi-metal switches, self-resetting to 80 °C. The heating insert is monitored with mechanical temperature switches (button temperature regulators). These sit directly in the actuation circuit of the heating contactor. In case of a fault the excitation of the heating contactor will be disrupted and along with it the heat input supply.
Translation - English The body and potential attachments are digitally signed in accordance with the WS-Security Standard based on an X-509 compliant certificate as an additional security measure. The necessary certificates conforming to X509 Version 3 (DER coding (X.690)), which are used to validate the signature with the "SHA1withRSA" algorithm, maybe self-signed and may have an extended validity. The RSA-Key however is to be generated with a key length of at least 2048 bits.
The attachments transmitted via the order interface and WBCI may not contain any mailicious code. Telekom assumes no liabilities if the files are switched via the order interfaced between the providers, i.e. in the context of a provider change.
The certificates from the conformity test may be used in real time transactions in as far technically possible (no IP reference) as long as they meet the stated requirements.
Each customer will only be allocated one interface for each defined IP address to avoid DoS (Denial of Service) attacks .

While I´m a high output translator and interpreter I enjoy the complex technical or legal translation. It is important to me to write or say it just right. For me precise cultural understanding is important to write and say what was intended. I´m an interpreter and translator, who will be your best choice if you like and need a good, sound translation with excellent word choices, which carefully maintains the original meaning of the text. We will enjoy working with each other if quality is more important than price, however not priceless. I like the flow of words, I like when they are convincing, moving or cutting just right. Words are meant to accomplish understandings, agreements or productions.
You may take confidence knowing that I´m a past certifying board member of the State licensing board in Hesse, Germany for translators and foreign language correspondents.
If your source words are destined to alter the outcome of a business transaction, a contract negotiation or claims settlement, then my target words will help you to achieve that objective. The better your original text, the better my translation. I enjoy meaningful documents aimed precisely at a purpose. It is my pleasure to tranfer that meaning into my second culture and your target language, be that English or German. Professional editing is always included, provided your time plan allows for it–as editing is best the morning after.
Specialization / Background I initially started interpretation and translation service in 1972 and while working for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Germany in 1976 I began to interpret between the US and German governments as well as German construction contractors. I translated construction contracts and specifications from English to German and contractor proposals, claims and construction specifications from German to English.
In 1979 I became a US citizen and moved to the US, while continuing to work for the US Government in the US as well as in Germany. In 1986 I drafted in English and translated into German the first environmental service and hazardous waste disposal contracts for the Defense Logistics Agency in Wiesbaden, Germany, while at the same time interpreting for the US Government.
Later I continued as a Professor in Contracting and Logistics in the US, qualifying for the prestigious Certified Professional Contracts Manager and am a Fellow of the National Contract Management Association. I hold a DoD Acquisition Level III (the highest) certificate, am a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps and then was selected for the Defense Leadership and Management Program in 1997.
As a Director of Procurement for the Federal Railroad Administration and later the Director of the Navy´s Information Technology Acquisition Center and Deputy Director of also the Navy´s Outsourcing Office I´ve specialized int the areas of IT, communications, railroad, construction, environment, and outsourcing in addition to procurement, legal text, contracts and logistics. Later I worked as the Program Manager Host Nation Liaison, NATO Admin Program where I translated Host Nation Agreements and wrote two amendmens to the Defense Approprations Act, which were actually passed.
While German is by definition my native language I have native language capabilities in English and not only think and speak with my children exclusively in English, I prefer it in my contractual writing, always writing the English first and then translating into German.
With deep love for language, I´ve continuously honed my expressive skills in both languages translating to the satisfaction of my clients.
My Forte
•40+ years of experience in interpretation and translation covering a wide range of fields with overseas working experience in Singapore, Guam, United Kingdom, Spain, Greece and Italy. My home countries are the United States and Germany and I maintain homes in both. Good understanding of both languages and cultures.
•The first 10 years of my career were mainly in the field of construction. Construction is a highly technical and multi-disciplinary field and the experience well prepared me for becoming a freelance translator afterwards.
•Later work includes translation of contractual, environmental, outsourcing, law, logistics, finance (general), human resources, host nation agreements and NATO construction and logistics and policy documents.
