Source text - English Cognitive style theory indicates that individuals communicate and refine information in a variety of modes. It incorporates facets of perceptual styles, personality, intelligence and social behaviour. Cognitive styles are distinctive modes of functioning that are observed within an individual's perceptual and intellectual experiences. They describe stable attitudes, preferences, or habitual strategies in perceiving, remembering, thinking and solving problems. The field-dependence-independence (FDI) dimension is the cognitive style construct that has generated more research for cognitive and social functioning. It differentiates an individual's mode of functioning in a variety of situations. Field-dependent (FD) and field-independent (FI) individuals differ in their behavioural characteristics that identify their cognitive style and categorise them as a FD (global or undifferentiated) or FI (analytic or differentiated) individual. FD and FI cognitive styles indicate distinctly different ways of processing information. FD individuals differ from FI ones in important cognitive and personal characteristics.

Source text - English The 1.5T or 3.0T T/R Quad Extremity Coil is indicated for use as a transmit and receive antennae of RF energy at a specific frequency. he signal received by the coils is dependent upon MRI parameters (T1 or Spin-lattice relaxation time, T2 or spin-spin relaxation time, density of nuclei, flow velocity, and chemical shift). The images produced by the imaging coil correspond to the distribution of nuclei exhibiting nuclear magnetic resonance.
The image quality check uses two different protocols for signal and noise image acquisition. The signal scan is an FSE sequence used to minimize susceptibility and B0 inhomogeneity effects. The noise scan is a GRE sequence that has a Control Variable (do_noise) to eliminate the transmit RF completely during the scan. The signal scan must be run prior to the noise scan as the R1, R2, and TG values from the signal scan are used for the noise scan.
