Source text - Spanish Necesito que el errante siga presumiendo
De su noche estrellada
Que la derrota del tirano se acoja por bulerías
Necesito del camino y del arroyo y la saliva
Que amanecen en tu sonrisa
Translation - English I need the wandering man to keep on boasting About how his nights are rich in stars
I need to dance to tyrant’s fall
I need path and the stream and the honeydew
That are dawn in your smile

Experience
Years of experience: 23. Registered at ProZ.com: Jan 2008.
I am from sunny-Spain but arrived in gothic-Edinburgh in 2006 to study my Master's Degree in Translation and Conference Interpreting and could not help staying ever since.
I am currently combining my job as a community interpreter with my regular activity as a freelance translator.
I am expertised in Psychology, specially Developmental Psychology and Pedagogy. The following is a brief list of the most relevant academic articles that I have translated from Spanish into English:
- Measuring daily stress in Spanish school children. Development and psychometric
properties of the Children Daily Stress Inventory. Authors: Blanca, M. J.*, Fernández, F. J., Escobar, M., Maldonado, E* and Muñoz, A. Employer: Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology. *Department of Psychobiology and Methodology of Behavioural Sciences (University of Malaga, Spain).
- Efficacy of a longitudinal psycho-educational intervention using the PESA affective
and social program. Authors: Sánchez, A.M. and Rivas, M.T. Employer: idem.
- School questionnaire of daily stress. Authors: T.Torres, M.V. Employer: idem.
I occasionally translate legal documents as well, e.g. birth certificates, diplomas and affidavits, to name but a few.
I have also carried out translation projects regarding children's literature and poetry, among others.
I can only say that I am fully committed to examinate your text meticulously in order to make sure that I am capable for the assignment, and, if I suspect it is beyond my limitations, I will be honest with you and will not take it. I am also committed to use terminology according to the assignment from the very beginning. Additionally, I will ask you questions in order to find out what is better for your company or for your particular interests.
And last but not least, I will organise my time to take an extra day before the set deadline in order to carry out a quality assessment of my translation, in such a way that none of my translations will ever be submitted without having been proofread and double-checked previously.
