I was born and educated in Copenhagen, Denmark and obtained a masters degree in Chemical Engineering. I am since 1969 a naturalized U.S. citizen and have worked over 30 years on three continents in the International Oil Industry. I am proficient/fluent in Danish, Swedish, English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch to a lesser degree. A partner, George Mallard, and I created the first computerized translation program for PCs, known as PC TRANSLATOR. At the end we marketed 18 language pairs, which included all the main West-European languages to and from English. When we were active, our software was used by such Fortune 500 companies as IBM, AT&T, Ford, and many more. We always won when competing with our peers and were voted best translation program WordPerfect users two years in a row. We ceased being active when companies such as Lernhout & Hauspie destroyed the field, but you can still find comments about us and PC TRANSLATOR on Google. We never made much money but always paid our debts and are proud of our performance. My personal website address is http://www.66timbertop.com |
