Translation - English M) REVENUE AND EXPENSES
Revenues and expenses are recognised when the actual flow of the related goods and services occurs, regardless of when the resulting monetary or financial flow arises. These revenues are valued at the fair value of the consideration received, with discounts and taxes deduced.
Sales revenues are recognised when the risks and rewards incidental to ownership of the good sold have been transferred to the buyer, without retaining either current management of or effective control over the said good.
15. Revenues from rendering of services are recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the transaction at the balance sheet date, provided the outcome of the transaction can be estimated reliably.
The interest received from financial assets is recognised using the effective interest method, and dividends are recorded when declared. In any case, the interest and dividends for financial assets paid after acquisition have been identified as income in the profit and loss account.
N) PROVISIONS AND CONTINGENCIES
The Sole Administrator of the parent company, when drawing up the consolidated annual accounts, differentiates between:
- Provisions: credits balances covering present obligations arising from past events whose cancellation is likely to cause an outflow of resources, but are uncertain as to amount and/or time of cancellation.
- Contingent liabilities: possible obligations arising from past events and whose existence will be confirmed only by the occurrence or non-occurrence of one or more future events not wholly within the control of the Group.
16. The consolidated annual statements include all the material provisions with respect to which it is considered that it is more likely than not that the obligation will have to be settled. Contingent liabilities are not recognised in the financial statements, but rather are disclosed, unless the possibility of an outflow in settlement is considered to be remote.
17. Provisions are calculated at the present value the best possible estimate on the amount required to settle or transfer the obligation, taking into account the information available on the event and its consequences, and recording the adjustments arising from the updating of such provisions as a financial expense as it becomes due.
18. The compensation to be received from a third party on settlement of the obligation is recognised as an asset, provided that there are no doubts that the reimbursement will take place, unless there is a legal relationship whereby a portion of the risk has been externalised as a result of which the Company is not liable; in this situation, the compensation will be taken into account for the purpose of estimating the amount of the related provision.

Source text - Spanish 4.4. Nanomanufacturing for interacting at a molecular scale
Translation - English 4.4. Nanomanufacturing for interacting at a molecular scale
Advances in additive microfabrication have already made it possible to interact at the cellular level in a number processes involved in tissue engineering and related studies (the generation of microchannels to analyze cell motility or surface microtextures to promote the growth of certain tissue types, among others). All these processes can be further optimized through the use of nanofabrication technologies, which help to produce certain interactions at the molecular level and promote chemical, tribological (in contact) or fluidic phenomena, in addition to the highly precise rapid prototyping technologies as shown in Table 1.
Living beings exhibit forms and functions at different levels, and in order to mimic these natural multi-level structures it helps to use techniques of rapid prototyping to manufacture microtextures. These techniques, as described earlier, sometimes use technologies such as UV photolithography, whose application in microelectronics is widely known, but it is very difficult to apply them when constructing geometries with details smaller than 500nm. Nevertheless, nanostructures can subsequently be generated on these microtextures through the self-assembly of molecules and thus build medical devices sensitive to very specific stimuli, arrays of sensors, and optical and fluidic systems. Such devices have numerous applications in interacting with biological systems and in generating highly specific diagnoses of reactions and pathologies (Fan, 2000).
Progress has also been made in technologies of physical or chemical deposition vapour (PVD or CVD), especially those designed to obtain coatings of amorphous carbon with high sp3 content, commonly called "diamond-like carbon". When this material is applied to the surface of implantable devices it greatly improves their biocompatibility, their capacity to resist corrosion and wear, and even allows for anti-bacterial properties to be incorporated by doping with metals such as Ag or Pt (Zhang, 2008, Salgueiredo, 2008, Blackthorn, 2008). Their use in facilitating the creation of cellular circuits and in allowing for interactions between devices and nerve cells has already been described (Brown, 2003). Their application to scaffolds for tissue engineering, obtained by conventional rapid prototyping technologies such as laser stereolithography or selective laser sintering, also has a clear potential in improving the behaviour of many polymeric substrates (Diaz Lanta, 2010 .)

Source text - Italian GAZA: QUELLO CHE L’AMBASCIATORE ISRAELIANO IN ITALIA NON DICE
Restiamo umani .
Translation - English GAZA: WHAT THE ISRAELI AMBASSADOR TO ITALY DOES NOT SAY
A few days ago Pubblico, the new paper founded by Luca Telese, dedicated its front page to the massacre of Palestinian children in Gaza with a title so blunt and direct it was somewhat shocking: "E se fossero i tuoi figli?" (And if they were your children?). The Israeli authorities in Italy were quick to respond. The ambassador Naor Gilon received the journalist Stella Prudente with the newspaper laid out on the table, and before even greeting her he burst into a rage: "You want to talk about children? Terrorists from Gaza have been shooting our children since 2009". He continued:
“Let me explain what it means to live with such a threat on your doorstep (...) No one talks about it [what a shame!], but all this has a tremendous psychological impact, even on Israeli children... I also have three children in Israel right now. The youngest is 18, but to me she’s still a child. The thought of me being safe here in Italy while they have to flee to a bunker to escape from missiles does not make me particularly happy”.
Upon which the journalist quite rightly pointed out to the ambassador that if we look at the gruesome "death statistics", Palestinian civilian victims are clearly in the lead, with more than a hundred deaths on one side, and 3 on the other. The ambassador calmly retorted that it is the terrorists who are using human shields, and that the the attacks of Israeli fighter bombers are seen as a strategic objective...
It was this same view that inspired the propaganda exercise of the Israeli defence Forces, the IDF, in which thousands of leaflets in Arabic were dropped on the Gaza strip, calling on the population to avoid members of Hamas lest they fall victim to an air raid. And yet a family of three - father, mother and child - were killed by a bomb yesterday while travelling by car close to Deir al-Balah; a farmer was mowed down while he was on his own in his field in Beit Lahiya: they had all heeded the Israeli warnings, yet it hadn’t done them much good. Not to mention the children and teenagers who represent near half of the population in the Gaza strip. In Zeitun, two twenty-year-old girls and a five-year-old boy were slaughtered by another so-called “smart bomb”.
"Our security forces use cutting edge technology systems. No other system is able to intercept rockets with such precision. (...) We take precautionary measures whenever we are presented with a risk situation. This is why the numbers are in our favour. But when we retaliate, we do all that is in our power to avoid innocent victims. We never target civilians".
And yet these civilians are dying like flies. The “cutting edge technology system” the ambassador refers to is the Iron Dome missile defence shield, which has enabled the Israelis to intercept or divert more than 300 of the 640 rockets fired into their territory. It goes without saying that the Palestinians, who lack even anti-aircraft capabilities, cannot afford such a luxury. All of the 1350 attacks launched by Israeli aircraft in just 6 days were successfully carried out. This explains why Palestinian casulaties have already exceeded one hundred (111) in less than a week since the conflict began.
"Why attack Gaza now?" asks the journalist. The ambassador denies that the attacks are part of a right-wing political campaign in the run up to the elections in January:
“An attack was made on an Israeli jeep that was patrolling the border. Israel responded by striking strictly military targets and the result was a series of rocket and missile attacks from the Palestinians.”
But the ambassador forgets to inform Italian readers of what had occurred previously. On the morning of the 8th of November - before a commando of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas) fired a rocket at the IDF jeep while it was on patrol, injuring 3 soldiers – an Israeli troop had opened fire on a group of “suspicious individuals” in Khan Younis, killing Hamid Abu Daqqa, a 12-year-old boy who was playing football in the back yard.
So, where did the reprisals begin? Who fired first and who fired back? In Palestine, these questions receive very different answers depending on whom you ask and who is prepared to answer.
Stay human.

Translation - English The questionnaires collected from his parents and teacher, ADHD-RS, EDAH, and BASC present diagnostic criteria corresponding to an Attention Deficit Disorder without Hyperactivity (ADD/WO). Hyperactivity is only identified in one of the questionnaires, and in a lesser degree than the other variables analysed. Moreover, evidence of hyperactivity was not observed in the behaviour observation conducted with the child during the consultation. For these reasons, it appears that his hyperactivity is related to emotional variables, rather than the product of a hyperkinetic disorder or impulsivity. When Damaso cannot find an adequate strategy to resolve a problem, he develops impulsive behaviours that aim to avoid any attempt at resolution, through a response of passive avoidance.

Translation - English Bilbao, an airport expanding its services and destinations
Bilbao airport, already confirmed as the principal source and destination of air travellers in the Atlantic Arc, has completed in 2011 one of its most significant improvements since the inauguration of the new terminal in Loiu at the beginning of the century.
This latest improvement is the arrivals hall, which is now entirely covered and heated, offering an excellent level of comfort. Passengers and their companions may now remain in the airport without worrying about the weather.
Given the recent surge in tourism to Bizkaia and to the Basque country in general, the traveller’s first impressions do count. For this reason we ensure that your experiences are as pleasant as possible from the moment you arrive, with a wide variety of quality services available.
Regarding the destinations offered from Bilbao, the routes to Amsterdam, Rome and Milan which began in 2010 have been consolidated, while the summer of 2011 has brought new European destinations, the most dynamic in recent months.
As from this year Luxembourg and the British city of Manchester receive direct flights from Bilbao. This adds two European cities to a list of destinations that already includes the major capitals of Europe; places that have already been linked by air transport to Bilbao and its surrounding area due to their economic, industrial or cultural importance.
It is on this basis that we are ensuring the future of Bilbao airport. We are confident that by continuing to offer quality services and by demonstrating the efficiency of our work on a daily basis to both passengers and companies alike, we will continue to occupy a prominent place in the economic and productive fabric of the Basque country, and to serve the interests and aspirations of its citizens.
