Source text - English Halting and Powering Down the System
Proceed as follows to power down the system:
1. Perform system shutdown procedure.
2. Power off the workstation.
3. Disconnect the ac power cord before handling the power supply.
NOTE
The ac power cord should remain connected from the system unit to the ac receptacle when servicing components of the system other than the power supply. This connection provides a ground path for static discharge.
4. Turn off the power to all peripherals connected to the system.
5. Disconnect all external cables connected to the system. Make sure to remember where each cable attaches to the system.
50 Series Workstations
The following sections describe the installation procedure which must be performed to replace an existing NVRAM chip in a 50 Series system.
Model 50 Workstation
Opening the IPC Processor Unit
Proceed as follows to open the IPC processor unit:
1. Loosen the captive screw holding the lock block to the back panel. Use a Phillipshead screwdriver to remove the lock block and its captive screw. Save the block and screw for reassembly.
2. Position the Model 50, Style A workstation on a table so that there is ample room to lay the top section of the unit flat in front of the bottom. Refer to Figure 1.
3. Depress the two side latch buttons while simultaneously pulling the top section apart from the lower section. The separation of the two sections can offer substantial resistance and you might need to pry them apart by hand. Do not use tools to pry open the Model 50, Style A workstation.
4. The short cables connecting the upper and lower units act as a hinge causing the top section to swing over the front of the Model 50, Style A workstation. Lay the upper section on its back in front of the lower one so that you have full access to all of the internal components. Refer to Figure 1.
Translation - Spanish Detener y apagar el sistema
Siga estos pasos para apagar el sistema:
1. Realice el procedimiento de apagado del sistema.
