My areas of expertise include biology (especially genetics), anthropology, archaeology, and quantitative analyses in the biological sciences, as well as medical, scientific or technical documents.
French is my mother tongue. My postgraduate education (PhD) was carried out in English. I lived in an English speaking country for over 5 years and I earned my doctorate in molecular evolution at the University of Sussex (Brighton). I also lived in Italy for 3 years where I worked as a research fellow and solely designed and delivered a biology course in Italian. I therefore consider myself fluent in both English and Italian. In addition, my work as a researcher always required a great level of organisation and attention to details. I am also very conscientious about meeting strict deadlines.
So far my translation works have included scientific documents. I am also working part-time proofreading video games in French for Babel Media. I thus feel also competent to translate in this field. |
