I am graduated as a Medical Doctor with the Degree of M.B., B.S ( Bechelor of Medicine and Bechelor of Surgery)from Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar (Burma) in the year 2000.
I am one of the most reliable translators one can find in this field. I am always precise, punctual, passionate and logical/reasonable in my translation. I could think the way how a Burmese thinks as well as the way other people (other than Burmese) think since my husband is a German.
Experience as a Freelance translator/Interpreter:
Since 2009 January until now, I have worked as a freelance translator/ reviser/ proof-reader/ interpreter. My main focus is in Medicine and Life Sciences but I have experiences in other major fields like Education, Legal, IT, Marketing, Engineering and general area. My biggest strength is precise (but target audience oriented) translation and punctual delivery. I am working with many different agencies for long term.
The services I provide are: Translation, Revision/Editing, Proofreading, Interpretation
I am also an experienced interpreter in all fields (expertise in Medical and Business discussion). I guarantee that everybody will be happy working with me and satisfied with my work.
I can accommodate the TAT according to requirements as well.
Below are my past experiences:
In between 2008 - 2010, I helped one of the Professors from Hong Kong University in translating the wall painting writings from Burmese to English. The Professor published her book about Burmese Wall Painting about 3-4 years ago. Most of the words are in old Burmese writings (about 100 to 300 years ago) mentioning about the history of Buddha and the inscription about the family or the person who donated or built the temple or Pagoda.
Although it was the first experience for me in the translation field, I found it very interesting and found myself that I can do more in my specialty field like Medical Translation (since it is my primary degree) and other related field like Biology and Pharmacology, etc.
In between (2001-2006), I worked for a European Pharmaceutical Company in Myanmar for about 5 years at various levels, started with Medical Representative (for about 1 year), promoted to Product Specialist (for about 2 and a half years) and finished as the Country Sales and Marketing Manager (for about 1 year and 8 months). (I stopped my job in 2006 because I need to follow my husband to Hong Kong). Altogether I had a work experience in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing field for about 5 years, means I have an expertise in translation of sales and marketing field as well.
From 2006-2008, I built my own business with a partner promoting Burmese Lacquerware in Hong Kong. I am very aware of different cultures and different mentality since I have lived in different countries, Burma, Hong Kong, China and Austria. I have travelled all over the world and familiar with how things work in outside world.
