In my career I have encountered many translation/interpretation experiences, as well as teaching Armenian and Russian languages. I was born and raised in Armenia in a Russian speaking home. So needless to say I grew up fluent in both of those languages. From a young age of 5 my father started teaching me English, and I became fluent in English at the age of 13. I volunteered on many occasions to teach English while living in Armenia. After moving to United States I had even more experiences in teaching Armenian and Russian languages as a volunteer as well as a paid teacher for three years at a language training center. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Russian language with a GPA of 3.97. While in school I had many translating opportunities. I translated to and from Armenian and Russian languages for International Conferences which were held at BYU Law School. I also translated and interpreted for many church conferences. I have always enjoyed any opportunity to translate or interpret to and from my native languages. |
