I am a native English and Spanish speaker, raised in South America, with Swiss and Italian roots.
As a Swiss expat in South America, my father spoke to me in English. My Argentinian mother - a career translator - in Spanish. At age 18, to validate my bilingual abilities, I took a Cambridge University English test and obtained a Cambridge C2 Certificate with a grade A.
Given my linguistic abilities, I was quickly hired as a language teacher. Before long, my passion for reading and writing led me to my first translation client, a CEO from a large Dutch company, who later recommended me to other companies.
My career in Latin America spanned several years providing freelance and inhouse translation services of legal, financial, technical, business and medical documents for international corporations as well as small local businesses from English to Spanish and Spanish into English.
At age 25 I decided to explore my Swiss roots and relocated to the European continent, where I've lived since.
Aside from my native English and Spanish, I speak fluent German and Swiss German, have a fair French reading comprehension enough Italian and Portuguese to get by on holiday and make new friends.
My passion is learning new languages and opening the door for others to overcome the language barrier.
I am currently employed part-time as a communications manager at an IT company in Switzerland, where I have lived for the better part of my adult life.
