My Mum named me Connie after D H Lawrence's Lady Chatterley.
I began learning English at St. Edward's, a fully bilingual school, at age 3. I used to draw the most amazing castles and princesses at pre-school and began writing short stories about them when I was 5. Although my drawing skills have not improved much, I still love and enjoy writing. While other people sleep, I sit up all night writing or translating books for my own pleasure. (An update, 9 years later: I have a six-month-old baby, so my nights are somewhat different these days).

Ten years ago my Mum (who has been a translator for over 41 years) was overloaded with work and needed a little help. She has been sharing projects with me ever since and we make a great team!
By now I am confident to handle work in different fields, including Literature, Marketing, Travel and Tourism, Religion, Psychology, Family and Parenting, Sports, International Cooperation and Development, Corporate Communications, Safety Health and Evironment, Automotive, Subtitling Translation, OSHA standards.
