Ok, I am fairly new with SDLX and I have some problems transfering my ITD back in Excel format. Since I could not transfer it with the Project Wizards, I used the Utility option in SDLX to transfer to Excel.
Where my original Excel file had 2 colums of let's say 10 items, my new Excel file has now 2 colums of 20 items.
The new Excel file is simply the exact copy of the ITD, which is the first column in English and the second column in French.

So basicaly, the first column (English) should not be there and the second column (French) should be split into two columns. Beside with some Copy/Paste, is there a way I should do that or is that simply the way SLDX transfers ITDs in Excel?

What you describe definitely isn't normal behaviour but in order to solve the problem more information is needed.
First of all, could you please let us know which version of SDLX you use?

Why exactly could you not use the Project Wizard? Was there some kind of error message? Normally, you should always be able to create a translated file via the Project Wizard (or via File > Create Translation in SDL Edit). However, please note that when translating xls files, the original xls file needs to be saved in the same folder as the itd file and you must not change the name of either file, otherwise you won't be able to create the translated xls file.

This is not normal behaviour for SDLX, it might be normal though if you use Utilities to create an xls file. I must admit that I have never used this option but AFAIK this was not introduced for creating translated files but for exporting several files into an xls file for proofreading or the like. Given this, the two-column layout is probably intentional.

There was no error message, everything was normal, my Word file came out perfect but my Excel files were nowhere to be found.
However, please note that when translating xls files, the original xls file needs to be saved in the same folder as the itd file and you must not change the name of either file, otherwise you won't be able to create the translated xls file.
Oooooooooooooooohhhhh! Well, there's the problem. I didn't like the FR-CA folder that was created for the ITDs and the copied Excel files so I moved them. Even though it is too late for my original files (they only had 2 columns so a little Copy and Paste did the trick) I tried again with other Excel ITDs and they were converted back perfectly.
