Each training can be purchased individually but if you wish to participate in two training sessions you may be interested in purchasing the webinars series with an early bird price at 50 USD36 USD .
Important: Those who purchase a seat in advance may be able to pay an "early bird" or cheaper price, while those who confirm participation later or last minute, may likely have to pay a higher fee. In some training sessions a price increase based on the number of registrants may also apply, i.e. the first 15 registered pay one price, the next 10 pay a a slightly higher price etc.
Early payment is advised in order to secure participation and help reach the course minimum participation - unfortunately, courses may occasionally be cancelled or rescheduled, if the confirmed participation in advance is very low.

This is the first part of International Trade for Translators and Interpreters. Parts I and II have different and complementary programs covering a number of commercial, institutional, logistic and financial areas related to this field of specialization (see program below). International trade produces a large volume of documents, which must be written, translated and adapted by specialized professionals. Ignorance of this field can lead to miscommunication and misunderstandings and, too often, to absurd, hardly decipherable translations. Translation agencies make sure to hire interpreters, translators and proofreaders who are familiar with this specialized terminology. Thus, it is a must to learn the concepts and terms of international trade in order to deal with its technical documents. International trade, as part of the business and financial translation, not only directly impacts corporate and business documents produced by import & export companies and banks, but also business and financial media, the translation of Commercial Codes and international organizations’ publications. It is also a very relevant field for interpreters, since they often take part in foreign trade negotiations (trading, bargaining, agreements, disputes, litigations...)

Bio: Marcel Solé is a financial translator, proofreader and trainer. He holds a Higher Technician diploma in Finance, Marketing and International Trade and obtained an International Certificate in Financial English and a Certificate of Proficiency in English (University of Cambridge, Cambridge English). He also obtained a Diploma in Financial Translation from English to Spanish with honors. Marcel has worked ten years as a translator and Project Manager for translation agencies, outstanding business schools —listed among the top 25 by Financial Times and the Economist— and publishing companies. The term "International trade" reminds me of a legal issue. I had disputes with certain non-paying agencies and I found that International Trade Courts in many countries are last resorts to translators who want to collect payments effectively. (Internet based transaction of translation jobs is conducted among different countries.)
