Bio
I have been a freelance translator since 2005 and work from French, Russian and Ukrainian into UK English, my native language.  I specialise in law (contracts, leases, articles of association, judgments, legislation, reports on the implementation of international legal instruments at country level).

I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a first-class honours degree in Interpreting and Translating (French and Russian), winning the Watt Club Medal (awarded to the highest ranking student in each graduating class) in July 1997.

I completed City University's Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Translation (French to English) in July 2010, a two-year part-time course with modules on contract, litigation, property, EU law and corporate and commercial law. I passed with merit.

I passed the United Nations Language Competitive Exam for translators in 2015, one of 19 out of 537 candidates to do so.

I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and an Affiliate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. I am also a member of the ITI's Scottish, Russian, French, Ukrainian, and Legal, Insurance & Financial networks.
