English to Spanish: A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking General field: Science
Source text - English "A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the center of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: ‘What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.’ The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, ‘What is the tortoise standing on?’ ‘You’re very clever, young man, very clever,’ said the old lady. ‘But it’s turtles all the way down!’
"Most people would find the picture of our universe as an infinite tower of tortoises rather ridiculous, but why do we think we know better? What do we know about the universe, and how do we know it? Where did the universe come from, and where is it going? Did the universe have a beginning, and if so, what happened before then? What is the nature of time? Will it ever come to an end? Recent breakthroughs in physics, made possible in part by fantastic new technologies, suggest answers to some of these longstanding questions. Someday these answers may seem as obvious to us as the earth orbiting the sun – or perhaps as ridiculous as a tower of tortoises. Only time (whatever that may be) will tell."

Source text - English Huh? I hear voices.... Husky? Like the dog breed?
Huh? Let me take a look.
"Hey there! We were all scared when we first got here, but you don't have to be. You're not alone, you're surrounded by friends here!"
"Th-thank you! Beautiful, sweet sunlight! Ouch... I didn't think I would trip on a bucket...."
"Hey, do they look a little odd to you? They're missing their ears...."
"Maybe they got clipped or something, like Dobey's."
"Wait... Husky... they don't have a-a... a tail."
"Bernese! You're going to make them uncomfortable—WHOA, you're right! Uhh... "
"Bernese? Bernese Mountain Dog? That working dog breed from Switzerland?"
"H-how do you know my full name...!? What's a “Switzerland”!?"
"And you're Husky? Like the Siberian Husky? The sled dog bred by the Chukchi people?"
"… Creeeeeepy."
"Wow, you look like dogs, too! Kind of?"
"What kind of dog are you, buddy?"
"Uh....
Wait... I don't think I'm a dog... or am I?
What kind of dog am I?!"
"Sniff! Sniff, sniff! I don't think you're a dog. There's something off here."
"Oh, what!? That's a bummer...."
"Wait a minute... I remember seeing one of these before...
… a hu... hum... ahh, what was that word...
… Human?
A HUMAN!
THAT'S IT! You must be what we call... a HUMAN!!"
"Human? … I guess? I guess I am!"
"OH MY STARS, a human! Our first human!"
"Hey keep it down the other dogs--"
"HI, I'M COLLIE!"
