Bio
General background
Since I got my degree in translation back in 2003, I've worked in different areas and positions, including senior project manager in a translation agency. And I've also worked part-time translating different types of documents. I started working full-time as a freelance translator in 2010. Since then, I've gained experience in different types of areas, but I've specialized in medicine and health care. I also have plenty of experience working in the broad areas of education and human resources.
Medicine, health care
Examples of types of documents: informed consent/assent forms, clinical protocols, CTA, patient-facing material, such as patient brochures about different types of illnesses, patient forms, patient questionnaries/surveys, brochures about medical devices, medications and patient's rights and obligations, adverse events forms, treatment journals, web material, post-discharge forms/questionnaires, adverse drug reaction reports, investigator's safety letters, health plans manuals, periodic safety update reports, among many others.
Education, human resources
Examples of types of documents: student's evaluations/exams, student manuals, code of conduct, employee reviews/feedback forms, employee safety and emergency awareness documents, employee handbooks, health and safety processes, web training for employees in areas such as confidentiality, ethics, anti-corruption, bribery, information security, anti-money laundering, anti-trust law, phishing, etc, among many others.
I also have plenty of experience in the areas of general finance, social sciences, (medical) insurance, hotels, leisure and travel, news articles, journalism, and many other areas.
