The holiday season is just around the corner, and we invite you to kick it off with us on Giving Tuesday!
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving back. With the support of professional translators and trainers, ProZ.com organizes this free conference which, over the years, has raised money for many different charities. The event includes sessions from experts in the profession and a free networking space. This year, we want to support Ecologi in planting trees to help restore nature, improve the climate and positively transform society.
ProZ.com will match any contribution you make dollar-for-dollar and so, together, we can make this a reality!

Join the Translation Slam (submissions closed).
Some of you may have heard of Translation Slams. Basically what happens is that a text is sent to participants in advance, and they translate it in their own time, in the peace of their own homes.
They then come together at an appointed hour and compare their translations. It’s meant as a collaborative learning exercise rather than a cut-throat competition, and can be a great opportunity to hang out with other translators and talk about the art of what we do – something we rarely get to talk about in the “real world” .
Because of the ecology theme of this year’s chosen charity (Ecologi), this year the texts will be about the environment, and the combinations will be announced soon.
To take part, we’ll be asking that each participant pays $10 – 100% of which will be passed on to the charity.
Join the discussion of the Translation Slam in the Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ProZcom/posts/10160529347674540/
