Qualificazione

Italian to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
Here in the description of this wine when they say "Qualificazione" are they referring to just a "Quality Designation" or is there a better term for this?

CURTEFRANCA BIANCO - DOC
Chardonnay in purezza di colore giallo paglierino fa della mineralità la sua caratteristica principale.
E’ un vino da consumarsi a 12-14 gradi in bicchieri da grandi rossi in modo da esaltarne i profumi.
L’affinamento avviene esclusivamente in vasca d’acciaio anche per lunghi periodi.
Prodotto di grande struttura, si consiglia abbinarlo a piatti di pesce in umido o carni bianche.

Designation/Classification

I would avoid using the French term "appellation" for Italian wines.
